Healthy Eating

Hi Everyone,

We have to eat in order to have the energy to perform our daily tasks and to enjoy the many beautiful things in this world. However, do we really know what to eat so that we can be healthy? Many diseases are associated with unhealthy eating. Hence, it is important to know what to eat so that we will not be victims of such diseases. For this week's journal writing, I would like you to discuss and reflect on healthy eating. To help you, I have listed some questions below:

1. What do you have to eat in order to be healthy?

2. What are some of the unhealthy food adults and children like to eat?

3. Why is important to eat healthily?

4. What are some of the diseases associated with eating unhealthy food?

5. What are the benefits of eating fruits and vegetables?

6. Do you like to eat fruits and vegetables? Why?

7. Do you support the school's campaign in encouraging pupils to eat more fruits and vegetables?
Why?

8. What activities can you suggest to encourage children to eat more vegetables and fruits?

I look forward to reading your reflection of healthy eating.
Love,
Ms Shaneza

School Holidays -March

Hi Everyone,

The March school holiday is over. I hope you had an enjoyable week. In our journal writing for this week, I would like you to write on your holiday and the things you did during the holiday.

Let me share with you my trip to Bali, Indonesia during the March holidays. I left for Bali on the 24 March, 820pm. When I reached there, it was almost midnight. My friends and i went to our resort and had a good night sleep. We had to wake up very early the next morning to catch our breakfast and not be late for our 1 day tour around the island.

Our tour guide brought us to different parts of the island. We went up close with the island's two volcanoes, shopping and watched an interesting balinese dance. We were very tired after the tour and decided to go for spa where we did massages.

On the second day, we went for to the beach and did some water sports. I did parasailing, ride on both the jetski and banana boat. We had so much fun. After all the water sports, we visited a temple. We were very lucky to be there as the balinese people were celebrating one of their festivals. People of all ages were wearing their traditional costumes and doing their prayers with their families. Balinese people are rich in their culture and tradition. After the temple, we went for sight seeing and watched another dance performance. We had dinner at a seafood restaurant right beside the beach. It was a wonderful experience.

On our last day, we swam in the beach. The waves were very large and the water was very clean and clear. We did last minute shopping before we headed for the airport for our flight back to Singapore.

I really enjoyed my trip to Bali. I had so much fun and experienced their culture. I will post some pictures i took on my trip. Here are some websites you can read on about this beautiful island.
